Torbay is pleased to announce that a programme of integrated working training will be taking place during 2007 - 08 to ensure Torbay Children's Services staff are well positioned to work together in supporting children, young people and their families as we move towards Children's Trust Arrangements in 2008.
The Integrated Working Training Programme will include training on integrated working itself, information sharing, common assessment framework and lead professionals.
Please see the linked brochure setting out more detail and arrangements for this multi-agency training during 2007/08. Also see link to dates for the first wave of this training programme, taking place during May - August, and a booking form to reserve places.
Please note that these courses will be repeated and further dates will be circulated and publicised later in the year for the periods September - December, and January - March 2008. Our intention is that there will be sufficient places for all staff across Torbay's Children's Services Partnership during the year so do not be disappointed if you are either unavailable for the dates set in this wave of training, or unable to secure a place because of demand.
It is important to select dates for the courses you need (see brochure) in sequence (e.g. Integrated Working & Information Sharing are essential for all and must be completed before undertaking CAF training (where applicable). Similarly CAF training must take place before Lead Professional training. We will not offer places out of sequence.
It is also important to note that training, especially on this scale, is expensive and complicated to organise and therefore there will be a charge levied against those who book and fail without good cause to attend. This policy has been approved by the Children's Partnership Executive.
Will managers please note that
i) some courses are specifically for you (B, D & E), and
ii) one course will be of special relevance to administrative staff (G).
Please see the Integrated Working Brochure for contact details for any queries you may have.
