What to do if you're worried

If you are the parent or family member of a child or young person who may be suffering abuse

  • seek advice from Social Services (Children's Services)
    • Duty Officer (01803 208500) Monday - Thursday, 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m., Friday 9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
    • Child Protection Unit (01803 208500) hours as above
    • Emergency Duty Team (01803 292166) all other times

  • talk to some such as your doctor/health visitor/child's teacher etc.
